Electric two-wheeler brand, Okinawa has announced its aggressive dealership expansion plans. The company aims to take the total number of dealerships to 500 from the current 350+ outlets. Okinawa would primarily be targeting cities in Bihar, Maharashtra, Assam and the eastern region.
To make it easier for potential dealers to register, Okinawa has simplified the application process. The company has taken the entire procedure online to maintain safety.
Apart from expanding its dealer network, the company also plans to accelerate its marketing activities. The brand had recently announced a hike in dealership margins from 8 to 11 per cent, to support the partners during the Coronavirus pandemic.
Meanwhile, the existing Okinawa dealerships have been operating with limited staff and following the advisory issued by the brand. With about 30 per cent of the dealerships operational, the brand has delivered over 1,000 vehicles within 30 days post the company resumed their services.
