Okinawa is going to launch the Praise in India on 19 December. The brand’s second product in the Indian market, the Praise has been styled to look like a maxi-scooter and is targeted towards the youth.
While the existing electric scooters in the Indian market are styled conservatively, the Praise seems to take modern approach. The teaser shows a massive front apron integrating a headlamp and LED DRL. The front end rides on telescopic forks and alloy wheels, with a disc brake. The tail section is also raised and features sharp edges to give it modern appeal. We expect it to be powered by lithium ion batteries, which should give it a range of around 100kms and shorter charging time than the existing electric scooters in the market.
Okinawa dealers have started accepting bookings for the Praise for a token amount of Rs 2,000. The company has tied up with HDFC bank to offer special schemes for those planning to finance their purchase.
