The Indian market has got yet another electric two-wheeler maker – Okinawa. The company has launched its first electric scooter – the Ridge at Rs 43,702 (ex-showroom Delhi).
The Ridge can be ridden for 200kms in one charge and has a top speed of 55kmph. The company says that the Ridge can be fully charged in six to eight hours. However, using the fast charging mode, 80 per cent can be charged in under two hours.
The Okinawa Ridge gets the regular scooter like design – big headlight on the fascia, indicators mounted on the handlebar, ample amount of footboard space. This scooter sports telescopic suspension, allow wheels, tubeless tyres. There’s also decent amount of storage under the seat.
The company is offering the Ridge in four colours – red, green-gold, red-white and white. Currently, there are 20 showrooms in states like Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Haryana. Okinawa plans to introduce two more products by the end of this year.
