- Features new Ola maps
- Now gives access to cruise control in Eco mode
- Companion App now gets a dark mode too
Ola Electric has introduced a new software update for its S1 electric scooter range. It is called the Move OS4 and has brought in a slew of new features for the scooter. Similar to the previous software upgrades, this one too should be accessible as an OTA.
One of the first changes with the introduction of the Move OS4 is the introduction of Ola Maps. Earlier the S1 electric scooter range was equipped with Map My India but now the manufacturer introduced its in-house developed feature. Ola claims this should help with quicker rerouting and accurate location. Further, the riders can also push locations from their phone to the scooter through Bluetooth.
Then, you also get updated Hill Descent Control, cruise control in Eco mode, AI-based turn indicator operation, favorite’s only calling selection, and access to the ‘Moods’ feature as well. Users can finally operate the Concert Mode as well on the Ola Electric S1 scooters. Ola has also added Geofencing and Timefencing to enable users to define specific operating areas and timeframes for the scooter. The ability to limit ride modes ensures safe and appropriate usage for secondary users of the scooter. Apart from the said features, the Move OS4 has also made subtle changes to the existing options to improve the overall usability.
Ola’s electric scooter portfolio currently includes the S1X (2kWh), S1X (3kWh), S1X Plus, S1 Air, and the S1 Pro.
