- Aims to deliver 15,000 units this month
- Ola claims that it does a lot of temporary registrations which aren't included in Vahan data
Ola CEO, Bhavish Aggarwal claimed in one of his recent tweets that the company has delivered almost 7,000 S1 electric scooters in February. However, in our previous story, the FADA numbers (excluding a few states) revealed that the EV brand registered only 3,904 units.
That's a massive difference between the company's claim and the registered data. However, the CEO also claimed that Ola does a lot of temporary registrations which aren't included in the VAHAN/FADA data. Moreover, Ola Electric claims that the deliveries will hit the 15,000 mark in March.
While the Ola scooter has been gaining quite some popularity, a lot of buyers are still bummed by the long waiting period. Not to mention, even for the scooters delivered, the owners aren't able to access all the features that were promised on paper.
