-35,000 units registered in February
- Holds a 42 percent share in the electric scooter market
- Ola scooters get a eight years/80,000km battery warranty
Ola Electric has announced that it recorded its highest ever monthly registrations in the month of February 2024. The company clocked 35,000 registrations for its S1 range of electric scooters and with that its market share stands at 42 percent. Ola adds that the registrations in February are double of what the company achieved in February 2023.
Ola, in fact, has had a pretty solid run over the past three months. In the months of December and January, the company recorded over 30,000 registrations. In all, Ola has received close to 1,00,00 registrations over the last three months.
Ola Electric can attribute its growth to some aggressive measures that it has taken over the recent months. The company offers a wide range of electric scooters from the S1X to the S1 Air and S1 Pro. By offering different trims, the company has targeted customers at varying price points which seems to work in its favour.
To recap, the Ola electric scooter range starts at Rs 79,999 and goes upto Rs 1.3 lakh for the S1 Pro. The latter has a 4kWh battery that offers a claimed range of 195km and top speed of 120kmph.
Ola recently began offering a eight year/80,000km warranty on its batteries. The company says that this takes care of alleviating customer apprehensions about owning an EV.
