- Ola Electric makes investment in Israeli company
- Exploring 0-100 per cent charge in 5 minutes
Ola Electric is exploring an extreme fast charging technology. The company recently made some investment in an Israeli company – StoreDot that owns this tech.
According to the company, StoreDot has developed a technology that can charge an EV battery from 0-100 per cent in just five minutes. This extreme fast charging concept is also called XFC. The investment figure isn’t know yet, but Ola Electric claims to have exclusive rights to manufacture batteries integrating StoreDot’s fast charge tech in India.
The company is also claiming to setup a manufacturing facility that will manufacture battery cells. These cells are expected to cater to the company’s future factory that is in the process of coming up. As of now, the company is selling only S1 electric scooters, but may also come up with more products in the future.
