- These are the number of scooters registered last month
- No clarity from Ola on how many bookings were completed from the previously claimed figure of one lakh
FEDERATION OF AUTOMOBILE DEALERS ASSOCIATIONS (FADA) has released the February 2022 registration figures for the Indian two-wheeler industry. The list also includes the number from Ola and the newly emerged EV maker has registered a total of 3,904 units in the second month of February. Also note that the aforementioned figure doesn't include RTO registrations from a few states.
In a similar fashion, since the Ola S1 electric scooter went on sale in December 2021, the brand registered 1,102 units in January 2022. Not to mention, Ola claimed to have received one lakh bookings when its portal first went live.
However, there's been no clarity on how many bookings were met with the full payment. While, the scooter is now being spotted around town, buyers are still experiencing long waiting periods before they get their vehicle delivered.
