Ola Electric has re-opened the purchase portal on the Ola app for the S1 electric scooter for 17 and 18 March. The company has also announced a new colour exclusive to the S1 Pro, called Gerua. It’s a mix of brown and orange. The asking price for the Ola S1 Pro is set to Rs 1,29,999 (ex-showroom Bengaluru).
Buyers who’ve previously reserved their slots will be able to make the full payment today whereas the new ones will have to first reserve their slot and make the purchase on 18 March.
Moreover, Ola Electric CEO, Bhavish Aggarwal has also revealed that MoveOS 2.0 is pretty much ready and will be accessible for the users by April end. Its key features include navigation, companion app, cruise control, Bluetooth, and other performance improvements. This should come as relief since the S1 buyers still haven’t gotten access to the features that the company mentioned in the spec-sheet.
In a following tweet, Aggarwal also revealed that Ola Electric is working on indigenous cell tech to manufacture lithium-ion batteries at scale.
As per the latest FADA data, Ola Electric has also managed to register 3,904 units (excluding numbers from a few states). But the company claims to have delivered almost 7,000 S1 electric scooters and aims to hit the 15,000 mark this month.
