- Ola’s first e-scooter teased
- Launch likely by June
Ola Electric has just released a teaser picture of their first electric scooter. This e-scooter is likely to make its India debut in the next few months.
It is clear from the teased pictures that the company will be introducing Etergo’s Appscooter in India. It had acquired this Netherlands-based company last year and it plans to build this scooter in India for India and maybe export it to other countries.
This scooter has a claimed range of 240kms in single charge and but there are reports suggesting that the Indian model will churn out 100kms in a single charge. The battery will be removable but there are not details on the capacity of it.
Ola electric plans to build this electric scooter in their upcoming plant in Tamil Nadu which is being claimed to be the largest scooter plant in the country. This plant will have an annual capacity of 10 million units which makes us believe that the company does have export plans.
