Ola Electric has opened its 500th service center in India. This marks a significant milestone in the company’s efforts to expand its service reach across India. The 500th service center is located in Kochi, Kerala and it happens to be the largest one in the southern state.
Ola enjoys a majority of the market share in the electric scooter space in India. With high sales volumes, the need for a service network that can keep up was important. Ola, in the past, has received flak for the poor service experience it offered. The move to setup Ola experience centers as well as service centers was done to address some of the issues that customers have faced.
With 500 service centers across the country, it makes it easier for Ola electric scooter owners to get their vehicles checked, carry out general maintenance or repairs in the event of an accident. Service touchpoints also make it easier and quicker to settle any warranty claims.
In other news, Ola Electric has gotten quite aggressive in the market by offering a variety of Ola S1 electric scooters at various price points. The Ola S1X, for example, received a price cut of Rs 10,000 recently. The S1X range now begins at Rs 70,000 and goes up to Rs 1 lakh, ex-showroom. It is available in three variants with different battery capacities including 2kWh, 3kWh, and 4kWh.
The Ola S1 Pro, on the other hand, is the quickest and most feature loaded variant in the product portfolio. It is priced at Rs 1.30 lakh, ex-showroom.
