The Ola Roadster Pro is the company’s flagship electric motorcycle. Its design, fetaures and specifications are befitting of the same. The specifications of the bike, in fact, are quite interesting. We shall go deeper into the same and here are the top five highlights of the Roadster Pro.
Motor and battery pack
The Ola Roadster Pro is available in two battery pack options- 8kWh and 16kWh. As per the specifications released by Ola, the Roadster Pro is currently the fastest electric motorcycle in the country.
With a 52kW motor, the Roadster Pro in the 16kWh trim can accelerate from 0-60kmph in 1.9s. The top speed is 194kmph and that makes it a lot faster than the Ultraviolette F77 Mach 2 that manages a little over 150kmph.
What’s also impressive about the Ola Roadster Pro is the 16kWh battery’s range which stands at 579km. The claimed range is higher than any other Indian two-wheeler EV.
Striking design
The Ola Roadster Pro looks quite sporty and with emphasis on a futuristic design. The Robocop style headlight cowl with the DRL strip or the ‘tank’ extensions and the slim tail section are neatly executed. Ola is offering the bike in a dual tone colour but we expect to see more colour options as deliveries begin in little over a year.
Feature loaded
Ola has equipped the Roadster Pro with a lot of features. There’s a new 10-inch touchscreen TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity. The bike has four ride modes- Hyper, Sport, Normal and Eco.
The company plans to introduce more features with the introduction of the MoveOS software. The list of features includes wheelie control, traction control and ADAS. As and when ADAS is introduced, the Ola Roadster Pro will be the first electric motorcycle in the country to get such a safety feature.
The hardware
The bike has a steel frame with a USD fork at the front and a monoshock at the rear. It rides on alloy wheels shod with tubeless tyres. Braking duties, meanwhile, are taken care of by twin discs at the front and a disc brake at the rear.
Price and competition
Ola has priced the 8kWh variant at Rs 2 lakh, ex-showroom. The 16kWh variant is priced at Rs 2.5 lakh, ex-showroom. It goes up against the Ultraviolette F77 Mach 2.
