Ola Electric has launched its maiden electric motorcycle series and the first one to debut is the Roadster series. It is offered in multiple trims - Roadster X, Roadster, and the Roadster Pro. In this story we will tell you about the two most affordable variants.
The Roadster X is offered with three different battery options – 2.5kWh, 3.5kWh, and 4.5kWh. Its asking price is set at Rs. 74,999, Rs. 84,999, and Rs. 99,999 (ex-showroom, Bengaluru). Meanwhile, the Roadster can also be bought in three different battery setups – 3 kWh, 4.5kWh, and 6kWh with the prices set at Rs. 1,04,999, Rs. 1,19,999, and Rs. 1,39,999 (ex-showroom, Bengaluru).
Apart from the battery capacity and the prices, the Roadster X and Roadster variants differ in terms of the range among themselves. The top-spec X trim gets a 200km maximum range and 124kmph top speed whereas the Roadster offers 248km range and 126kmph top speed in its highest spec variant. The Roadster X uses a 11kW motor and the Roadster packs a 13kW unit.
On the features front, the Roadster X gets sports, normal, and eco riding modes. These can be toggled through the 4.3-inch LCD powered by MoveOS 5. It further gets Ola Maps Navigation (turn-by-turn), advanced regen, cruise control, DIY Mode, TPMS alerts, OTA updates, digital key unlock and Ola Electric App connectivity as well. Meanwhile, the Roadster boasts Hyper, sports, normal, and eco. It gets a 6.8-inch TFT touchscreen and comes loaded with smart features such as proximity unlock, cruise control, party mode, tamper alert, along with AI-powered features such as Krutrim Assistant, smartwatch app, road trip planner.
The Roadster X and Roadster ride on telescopic front forks and monoshock while the braking duties are done by a single front and rear disc with ABS. These are mounted on alloy wheels wrapped in road-biased tyres.
