Ola Electric has commenced the bookings of its most affordable electric scooter, the S1 Air, in India. This new variant of the S1 electric scooter is available at a special introductory price tag of Rs. 1,09,999. Notably, this introductory price is valid from 27 July to 30 July only. Post these dates, the S1 Air will be sold at Rs. 1,19,999.
This budget-friendly variant of the S1 series electric scooter is available in six colours – Stellar Blue, Neon, Porcelain White, Coral Glam, Liquid Silver, and Midnight Blue. Meanwhile, it boasts 90kmph of top speed, 125km of range, three ride modes, and a charging time of five hours. The S1 Air benefits from full-LED lighting and a digital instrument cluster. However, the resolution of this display is relatively lower than the S1 Pro.
Unlike the standard S1, the S1 Air uses a hub motor. Then, the shock absorption hardware comprises telescopic front forks and dual rear springs. Further, the braking setup includes drum brakes on both ends as against the disc units on the other S1 variants. It also rides on steel wheels as against the alloy units on the standard model.
The new Ola S1 Air rivals the budget-friendly variants of the TVS iQube and Ather 450 in the Indian market.
