Ola Electric will commence the bookings of its most affordable electric scooter, the S1 Air, in India tomorrow, i.e. 28 July, 2023. The company had already announced that the Ola community members and potential buyers who reserve it early can avail of a special introductory price of Rs. 1,09,999. Notably, this introductory price is valid from 28 July to 30 July only. After that, the ex-showroom price will be revised to Rs. 1,19,999.
This new variant of the S1 series electric scooter has been listed on the company’s website, and all the details are already available. The styling, for example, will be similar to the standardOla S1. However, this variant will be available in six colours – Stellar Blue, Neon, Porcelain White, Coral Glam, Liquid Silver, and Midnight Blue. Then, this electric scooter boasts 90kmph of top speed, 125km range, and three ride modes. Meanwhile, the charging time is rated at five hours.
Notably, unlike the other S1 electric scooters, this budget-friendly variant will use a hub motor, telescopic front forks, dual rear springs, drum brakes on both ends, and steel wheels. Then, while the lighting is full-LED, the instrument cluster uses a relatively lower resolution than the S1 and S1 Pro.
Once launched, the new Ola S1 Air will rival the budget-friendly variants of the TVS iQube and Ather 450 in the Indian market.
