Ola Electric has commenced the deliveries of the S1 Air electric scooter, which was launched last year in August. The e-scooter is priced at Rs. 1,19,999 (ex-showroom, Bengaluru) and is available in a single variant only. Ola claims that the S1 Air’s deliveries have begun in 100 cities as of now and it has received more than 50,000 bookings.
The S1 Air currently sits below the top-spec S1 Pro and the base-trim S1X. It features the same bodywork as the Pro and comes with large flowing body panels having a curvy design. The headlight comprises twin LED projectors with an LED DRL bezel around it. Powering the S1 Air is a 6kW motor linked to a 3kWh battery. This setup offers a maximum true range of 100km and a top speed of 90kmph.
Meanwhile, the features list comprises three ride modes (Eco, Normal, and Sport), a seven-inch TFT, OTA updates, music playback, remote boot lock/unlock, GPS, navigation, predictive maintenance, and cruise control. Its hardware includes telescopic front forks and dual rear shocks with drum brakes at both ends. The S1 Air rides on steel wheels wrapped in road-biased rubber.
Currently, Ola has five models in its product range – S1 Pro, S1 Air, and the S1X. The X further gets three variants – S1X (2kWh), S1X (3kWh), and the S1X Plus. The most affordable Ola scooter costs Rs. 89,999 (ex-showroom, Bengaluru).
