- The purchase window opened on 27 July
- Introductory price set at Rs. 1,09,999
- Prices to be hiked to Rs. 1,19,999
Ola Electric opened the purchase window for the S1 Air on 27 July and has clocked 3,000 unit sales already. The Bengaluru-based firm launched its most affordable e-scooter at an introductory price of Rs. 1,09,999 (ex-showroom, Bengaluru). However, this is only valid for four days and from 31 July, the S1 Air’s asking price will be hiked by Rs. 10,000 thereby costing Rs. 1,19,999 (ex-showroom, Bengaluru).
The S1 Air gets a 3kWh battery mated to a 4.5kW (peak power) motor. It gets 125km of total range and a top speed of 85kmph. It borrows the design from S1 and S1 Pro, but it rides on conventional telescopic front forks and twin rear shocks compared to the monoshock setup we have seen on its siblings. Moreover, the S1 Air also gets a flat floorboard instead of the spine-integrated unit we see on the other models. That said, it’s equipped with the same twin projector LED headlights and curvy side panels too.
Meanwhile, the features list includes a seven-inch TFT screen with smartphone connectivity, GPS, music playback, three ride modes (Eco, Normal, and Sport), reverse mode, remote boot lock/unlock, and side stand alert.
Ola is offering the S1 Air in Stellar Blue, Neon, Porcelain White, Coral Glam, Liquid Silver, and Midnight Blue options. It rivals the TVS iQube, and Ather 450S in the Indian EV segment.
