- Is the most affordable Ola electric scooter
- Features flat floorboard and telescopic front forks
- Priced at Rs. 84,999
The Ola S1 Air could go on sale in the coming months as Bhavish Aggarwal, Ola Electric CEO, tweeted about it being available from July. For reference, the scooter was launched last year in August at an introductory price of Rs. 84,999 (ex-showroom, Bengaluru).
However, in February 2023, the brand revised its portfolio again and the S1 Air is now available in three variants. These differ in battery capacity as there are three options for the buyers – 4kWh, 3kWh and 2kWh. Apart from that, all models feature the same styling, hardware, and features.
The Ola S1 Air borrows a majority of its design from the S1 Pro. So, you’ll see the same twin projector LED headlight with a tube LED bezel around, and the curvy side panels, too, look the same as the other models. However, Ola has eliminated the central spine from the S1 Air that ran through the floorboard of the Pro and standard model. This has led to an additional storage space at the front alongside the boot.
The S1 Air’s mechanical setup comprises a 2.7kW motor linked to the above-mentioned battery options. Its top speed is limited to 85kmph, and the maximum range is 165km in ideal riding conditions. Moreover, it features a 34-litre under-seat storage, which is two litres less than the other trims. On the feature front, the Ola S1 Air gets a 7-inch TFT that’s used to lock/unlock the scooter and access other options like the reverse mode, ride modes, music, Bluetooth connectivity, navigation, and more.
The S1 Air is the most affordable scooter you can buy from Ola’s stable of e-scooters, and it rivals the TVS iQube standard and the Ather 450X base variant.
