Ola Electric has announced the launch of S1 Air electric scooters in the Indian market. The company has re-introduced this model in three variants. Here we explain all the variants of the new Ola S1 Air.
Ola S1 Air: Performance and Range
All three variants of the new Ola S1 Air are powered by the same 4.5kW motor. Thus, they all come with a claimed top speed of 85kmph. However, while the performance is similar, these models are distinguished through their respective ranges. The three variants feature 2kWh, 3kWh, and 4kWh battery packs, respectively. The 2kWh variant is claimed to deliver a range of 85km. Meanwhile, the 3kWh and 4kWh models come with a claimed range of 125km and 165km, respectively.
Ola S1 Air: Features
The differences between the three variants are limited to the battery packs. Meanwhile, the feature list is identical for the complete S1 Air range. Thus, all variants pack a seven-inch TFT screen with smartphone connectivity, GPS, music playback, three ride modes (eco, normal, and sport), reverse mode, remote boot lock/unlock, and side stand alert.
Ola S1 Air: Styling and Colours
The styling is similar to the premium variants of the S1 series and the Air version of the electric scooter comes with a twin-pod headlight, curvy body panels, and a flat saddle. However, unlike the premium variants, this version comes with black lower body panels instead of the body-coloured ones. The S1 Air also uses budget-friendly hardware such as steel wheels and a single-piece pillion grab rail. The S1 Air comes in five paint options – Coral Glam, Neo Mint, Porcelain White, Jet Black, and Liquid Silver.
Ola S1 Air: Hardware
The base version of the Ola S1 Air range uses budget-friendly hardware such as drum brakes on both wheels to perform the anchoring tasks. Then, the suspension setup comprises conventional telescopic front forks and a single rear spring.
Ola S1 Air: Variants and Prices
The base variant of the S1 Air, which comes with a 2kWh battery pack, is priced at Rs 84,999. Then, the 3kWh and 4kWh variants are available at Rs 99,999 and Rs 1,09,999 (all prices are ex-showroom, Bangalore), respectively. Do note that the customers who booked the S1 Air last year (2.5kWh battery unit) will receive a free upgrade to the 3kWh model. The purchase window, test rides, and deliveries of the new S1 Air will commence in July 2023.
