After relaunching the S1 in August, Ola Electric recently launched another variant of its electric scooter, the S1 Air. Priced at Rs 79,999 (ex-showroom Delhi), the S1 Air boasts quite different features from S1 and S1 Pro. And if you are looking for other options in the same price range, then here’s the list.
Honda Activa 6G
First one on the list of the S1 Air alternatives is a rather popular, Honda Activa 6G. With an asking price of Rs 73,086 (ex-showroom Delhi), the Activa 6G packs a 109.51cc single-cylinder air-cooled motor. It dishes out 7.68bhp and 8.79Nm and benefits from a CVT gearbox. Honda has equipped the Activa 6G with an external fuel filler cap, a silent starter, telescopic front forks, and a single rear shock. Its braking hardware comprises a front and rear drum setup.
Benling Icon
Another electric scooter option for an asking price of Rs 74,160 (ex-showroom Delhi) is the Benling Icon. It’s powered by a 250W/60V motor mated to a 60V/20Ah lead acid battery. It gets 75km of range and the top speed is limited to 25kmph. On the feature front, Benling has equipped it with USB charging port, an integrated locking system, a regenerative braking system, an anti-theft protection alarm, and smart breakdown assistance.
Hero Pleasure Plus Xtec
The Hero Pleasure Plus Xtec costs Rs 74,268 (ex-showroom Delhi) and is powered by a 110.9cc single-cylinder engine. Its output is rated at 8bhp and 8.7Nm. Hero has equipped the Pleasure Xtec with LED illumination, a semi-digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity for access to incoming/missed call alerts, new message alerts, and phone battery status. The Hero scooter rides on telescopic front forks and a single rear shock. Its braking hardware comprises drum brakes at both ends for the base model.
Hero Passion Pro
Another offering from Hero MotoCorp as an alternative to the S1 Air is the Passion Pro. It retails at Rs 74,408 (ex-showroom Delhi) and is powered by a 110cc engine belting out 9.02bhp and 9.89Nm. The motor is mated to a four-speed gearbox. The Passion Pro rides on telescopic front forks and dual rear shocks while the braking hardware comprises drum front and rear units. The Passion Pro has become a preferred commuter bike over the last few years.
Honda Shine
Last but not least, the Honda Shine has also made it to the list. It too is one of the most popular commuter bikes on sale in India with an asking price of Rs 78,414 (ex-showroom Delhi). It packs a frugal 124cc single-cylinder engine that makes 10.59bhp and 11Nm. The Shine rides on telescopic front forks, dual rear shocks and gets drum brakes for the base variant. It features CBS too.
