Can it replace your internal combustion engine scooter?
The Ola S1 series is among the appealing electric scooters in the Indian market, and it should grab the attention of tech-savvy young buyers. The subtle yet appealing design, on the other hand, should attract the attention of mature buyers. The scooter packs promising performance and range, which should address the concerns of the owners of the conventional scooters. The long battery range and promising performance does make it a tempting option, but it still cannot be the only vehicle in your garage. Maybe a swappable battery setup would’ve made it even more practical, although that isn’t on the cards yet. A non-removable battery pack would also cause charging issues for people living on higher floors.
The Ola S1 series has received a promising response and the company got nearly one lakh interests in the first 24 hours of opening registration. Ola Electric may not face a supply issue either as the Ola Futurefactory would be capable of producing 10 million vehicles annually.
