Ola S1 buyers to be upgraded to S1 Pro; conditions apply

- Ola S1 buyers to get upgraded version 

- Need to shell out Rs 30,000 to use Pro features 

- S1 variant will get heavier 

Ola Electric has decided to upgrade all S1 e-scooter buyers to S1 Pro. This is being done so that the S1 buyers have the option to experience more features and performance. But there’s a catch.  

The catch is that the Ola customers will have to spend an additional Rs 30,000 to unlock the full potential of the S1 Pro variant. The Pro variant gets additional features like higher riding range and top speed, hill-hold, hyper mode and also faster charging option.  While this may look good one paper for a lot of S1 buyers even though they will have to pay extra to use the features, it isn’t fair to them as the S1 scooters will also be heavier due to the presence of extra equipment to make it S1 Pro. This is bound to effect the overall performance and also the ease of riding experience due to the extra weight.  

Ola will upgrade the S1 buyers through software upgrade, but we believe the customers should have the option of owning a pure S1 electric variant as promised.
