Ola Electric launched its first electric scooter called the S1 in India with a price tag of Rs 99,999. The scooter is also available in a top-spec S1 Pro version that gets all the bells and whistles and costs Rs 1.30 lakh. (both prices ex-showroom).
Now, Ola Electric is offering the scooters in a wide range of colour options. The S1 is available in four colours- white, dark grey, red, black and yellow. Meanwhile, the S1 Pro is offered in a total of 10 colour options. Apart from the options offered on the S1, it gets pink, light grey, and navy blue as well. These colours adorn the electric scooter’s compact and minimal bodywork.
The Ola S1 and S1 Pro’s electric motor delivers 8.5kW of peak power and 58Nm of torque. However, the battery capacity and range of both models are different. While the S1 gets a 2.98kW battery pack with a top speed of 90kmph and a range of 121km, the S1 Pro gets a bigger 3.97kW battery. It offers a claimed top speed of 115kmph and a claimed range of 181km per charge. On the other hand, the 0-40kmph timings for the S1 and the S1 Pro stand at 3.6 seconds and three seconds, respectively. Ola Electric is offering the S1 with two riding modes- Normal and Sport while the S1 Pro variant gets an additional Hyper mode.
Both scooters are equipped with a host of fancy features like a 7-inch touchscreen display, limp mode, reverse mode, proximity lock/unlock, remote boot lock, etc. The S1 Pro also benefits from cruise control, hill-hold system, and voice assist feature as well.
While the bookings for the motorcycle have commenced on the brand’s official website, the scooter will go on sale from 8 September. Ola has also announced that the deliveries for the S1 and S1 Pro electric scooters will commence in October 2021.
