- Prices hiked post FAME II revision
- Subsidy amount reduced by a substantial amount
- No changes have been made to the scooter
After the FAME II subsidy was recently revised, the prices for the Ola S1 electric scooters have changed. With the subsidy amount reduced to Rs. 10,000 per kWh, the asking prices for the Ola S1 Pro, S1 and S1 Air have increased.
Earlier, the Ola S1 Pro was priced at Rs. 1,24,999 and it now costs Rs. 1,39,999. On the other hand, the S1 and S1 Air are priced at Rs 1,29,999 and Rs. 1,09,999 (all ex-showroom, Bengaluru), respectively. Notably, the Pro's latest asking price is similar to the price it was launched at.
Apart from the price revisions, there are no changes to Ola e-scooter range. The S1 Pro continues to draw power from a 4kWh battery mated to an 8.5kW motor while the S1 and S1 Air get multiple battery options: 2kWh, 3kWh and 4kWh. Even the features list on all three models has been unchanged.
The S1 Pro and S1 continue to ride on a single front and rear shock with a front and rear disc while the S1 Air gets telescopic front forks and dual rear shocks with a front disc and rear drum brake setup.
If you are out to buy an electric scooter and looking for options apart from the Ola, then there’s the Ather 450X, TVS iQube, Bajaj Chetak and the Vida V1.
