Ola Electric has entered the electric two-wheeler space in the Indian market with the launch of the new S1 and the S1 Pro. The electric scooters are available from Rs 99,999 onwards (including FAME-II/excluding state-level subsidies) in the country. Here we bring you the top five highlights of the new Ola S1 and S1 Pro.

Design

The styling cues on the new Ola S1 series include a compact twin-pod headlight with an LED DRL ring, apron-mounted LED indicators, a body-coloured front fender, curvy side panels, a sleek LED taillight at the back, an external charging point, and a split-style pillion grabrail. The scooter boasts an under-seat storage space. The company claims that the 36-litre space can accommodate two open-face helmets.

Colours

The Ola S1 series is available in 10 colours that feature satin, matte, and glossy finishes. The base model is available in five colours while the Pro variant boasts 10 choices.

Variants and Prices

The new Ola S1 series comprises two variants – S1 and S1 Pro. The base model has been priced at Rs 99,999 while the Pro variant has been listed at Rs 1,29,999. These prices include the benefits received from the FAME-II subsidy. State-level subsidies further reduce the prices. Check out the complete list below:

Engine

The electric engine on the S1 and the S1 Pro is tuned to deliver 8.5kW of peak power and 58Nm of maximum torque. The battery capacity for the base variant and the Pro model stands at 2.98kW and 3.97kW, respectively. The base variant of the scooter boasts a top speed of 90kmph and a claimed range of 121km per charge. The Pro version, on the other hand, comes with a claimed top speed of 115kmph and features a claimed range of 181km per charge. The 0-40kmph acceleration timing for the S1 and the S1 Pro stand at 3.6 seconds and three seconds, respectively. The S1 comes with two riding modes (Normal and Sport) while the S1 Pro variant features three modes (Normal, Sport, and Hyper).

Both variants receive proximity lock/unlock, remote boot lock, call alert, message alert, infotainment, side-stand alert, anti-theft alert, geo-fencing, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, onboard navigation, limp home mode, reverse mode, get home mode, take-me-home lights, find my scooter, HMI moods with sound, electronic steering lock, HMI brightness adjuster, welcome screen, OTA updates, manual SOS, and predictive maintenance as standard. The S1 Pro further benefits from hill-hold system, cruise control, and voice assist.
