- Likely to be deployed via OTA
- Could feature Hill Hold, ride moods, proximity unlock, and more
- Standard and Pro models will get different sets of updates
Ola Electric is set to launch the Move OS3 update on 22 October. Both models, S1 and S1 Pro will receive the new software update via OTA and it’s likely to be done in a phased manner.
With the new software, the Ola electric scooter is likely to feature hill hold, faux engine sound, regenerative braking V2, hyper charging, calling, key sharing, and proximity unlock as well. That said, the S1 would only benefit from select features, unlike the Pro model which is set to be updated with the entire list.
As of now, the S1 features three ride modes (eco, normal, and sport) while the Pro model gets four including the Hyper mode. Other features like reverse mode, OTA updates, music, remote lock/unlock, Bluetooth connectivity, navigation, and predictive maintenance are common on both trims.
The S1 is priced at Rs 99,999 and S1 Pro retails at Rs 1,39,999 (ex-showroom Bengaluru). We have the S1 Pro in the BikeWale long-term fleet and here’s our experience with it so far. Apart the Ola S1, the Indian two-wheeler market also has other premium EVs like the Ather 450X, Bajaj Chetak, TVS iQube, and Revolt RV 400.
