Ola Electric has made multiple new announcements in the past few days alongside its scooter launch. The brand has also revealed a list of new features which will be offered with the Move OS4 software update for its S1 series of electric scooters.
Ola will deploy the Move OS4 software update via OTA and it’ll allow the scooter owners to access Ola Maps, hill descent, find my scooter, location push, HC routing, megaphone, concert mode, custom motor sound, theft/tow/fall detection, geo and time fencing, take-me-home lights, auto turn-off indicators, ride and energy Stats, call filter, biometric unlock, widgets, Dark Mode, and scooter locator.
The Move OS4 software will be launched on 15 September and the above-mentioned features will be in their beta phase first. This will be followed by a full-scale rollout in the later months. As of now, all the Ola S1 scooters are using the Move OS3, which comprises riding modes, ride moods, themes, data storage, Wi-Fi, music playback, call and SMS notifications, proximity and hill hold among others.
Apart from the new software, Ola also launched its latest and the current most affordable electric scooter, the S1X. It’s available in three variants: S1X (2kWh), S1X and S1X Plus. The base model costs Rs. 79,999 while the S1X (3kWh) and S1X Plus are priced at Rs. 99,999 and Rs. 1,09,999 (all ex-showroom, Bengaluru) respectively. However, buyers can avail of the base model for Rs. 79,999 till 21 August.
