- Ola S1 no more in production
- More demand for S1 Pro
- S1 production likely to commence year-end
Ola Electric has decided to temporarily suspend the production of its most affordable e-scooter – the S1. The company has sent an email to all S1 customers citing some reasons.
According to the email that the company sent to prospective S1 buyers, the brand will stop making this variant. Ola claims that majority of its customers have purchased the more expensive and loaded variant – the S1 Pro, so it is prioritizing that variant in the production line. The S1 customers have the option to upgrade to the S1 Pro but have to pay quite a bit of money. However, if the customer still wants to have the S1 variant, they will have to wait till year-end.
This new development by the e-scooter maker isn’t right to the buyers who trusted the brand even without seeing or experiencing the EVs. These customers waited patiently for months and now with this news, it is quite disheartening to see Ola take this approach. The company should have delivered stopped the bookings for S1 variant and delivered all the booked S1s before discontinuing its production.
