- Being deployed in a phased manner
- Set to introduce new features
Ola Electric is set to deploy the Move OS3 software for its electric scooter. The new update will be introduced in a phased manner for the customers and as of now, it’s being launched in the beta stage.
The scooters will receive the OS3 software via OTA and features like riding moods, Bluetooth calls, proximity unlock, fast charging and more will be made available. That said, the features list for the S1 and S1 Pro will be different.
Currently, Ola has the S1 on sale in three variants: S1 Air, S1, and S1 Pro. All three models are priced differently with the Air being the most affordable at Rs 84,999 (ex-showroom Bengaluru). Meanwhile, the S1 retails at Rs 99,999 and the Pro is priced at Rs 1.39 lakh (ex-showroom Bengaluru).
The S1 Air is the latest scooter from Ola. It’s powered by a 4.5kW (peak power) motor mated to a 2.5kWh. Ola claims the Air’s true range is 76km and the top speed is limited to 85kmph. Moreover, unlike the other two models, Ola has suspended the S1 Air on twin front and rear shocks. Even the braking hardware is different and it gets drum units on both ends. On the feature front, the most affordable Ola scooter gets a TFT screen, riding modes, smartphone connectivity and navigation too.
