We recently got a chance to spend around a week with the S1 Pro electric scooter and test different aspects of it. If you haven’t read our comprehensive road test review of the e-scooter, do it nhttps://www.youtube.com/embed/u94Jk7-45sMow. In this post, we bring you some of the pictures of the scooter hand-picked by us along with the main snippets from the review.
The Ola S1 Pro boasts chic styling with sleek and curvy body panels. It sports an oval-shaped headlamp, petite turn indicators, flat grab rails, and a flush-fitted tail lamp.
Complementing its swanky design is a wide colour palette of as many as 10 shades which is a mix of pastel and a few understated colours.
The seat height of the S1 Pro is accessible at 800mm which makes it friendly for even shorter riders. However, the overall riding stance doesn’t feel natural courtesy of the high footboard resulting in a knee-up position.
It comes packed with a host of modern features and the main highlight is the large seven-inch touchscreen display which offers a digital key, negating the need for a physical key to unlock the scooter.
Powering the electric scooter is a 3.97kWh lithium-ion battery pack that is claimed to deliver a maximum riding range of 135km in the slowest riding mode.
Propelling it to a claimed top speed of 115kmph is a mid-mounted electric motor with rated power and torque figures of a little over 7bhp and 58Nm. While the scooter is quite fast, we noticed the speed indicated on the display was mostly higher than the actual speed.
As for the competition, the Ola S1 Pro has a couple of strong rivals to face in India such as the Ather 450X, Bajaj Chetak electric, and TVS iQube.
