- Gets mechanical and feature upgrades over Gen 1
- Available in five paint schemes
Ola Electric has commenced the deliveries for its flagship electric scooter, the S1 Pro Gen 2. It was recently launched as a successor to the Gen 1 model. Ola made notable changes to the S1 Pro in its second generation in terms of hardware, design, mechanicals, and other areas.
For reference, the S1 Pro Gen 2 comes with a flat floorboard, unlike the older model, which had a spine in between. This change has led to an increase in the space at the front. Then, the rear two-piece grab-rail has made way for a new tubular single-piece unit. The long curvy panels and the overall design on the Gen 1 model have made their way to the Gen 2 scooter.
Another noteworthy upgrade that Ola has made for the S1 Pro’s latest iteration is replacing the front monoshock with conventional telescopic front forks. The swingarm has also been replaced with a new one and the chassis now uses sheet metal.
Unlike the predecessor’s 8.5kW motor and 4kWh battery, the new model gets an 11kW (peak power) motor and a 4kWh battery. It offers 180km of range and a top speed of 120kmph. The S1 Pro Gen 1’s 0-40kmph time is 2.9 seconds, whereas the Gen 2 takes 0.3 seconds less.
The asking price for the Ola S1 Pro Gen 2 is Rs. 1,47,499 (ex-showroom, Bengaluru). It is offered in five paint schemes - Jet Black, Matt White, Stellar, Midnight Blue, and Amethyst.
