Ola Electric has announced a limited-period discount on its electric scooters, the S1 and the S1 Pro. Under this offer, the Ola S1 electric scooter is available with a discount of Rs 10,000. Further, the Ola S1 Pro is listed with a discount of Rs 12,000. Apart from these discounts, buyers will also get 50 per cent off on the Ola Care Plus service subscription and one-year free access to the company’s hypercharging network. This offer, however, is valid on 18 and 19 February, 2023 only.
Ola S1 and S1 Pro: Battery Range and Performance
The Ola S1 Pro is the company’s flagship product and is available in 12 colour options. This variant of the S1 series boasts a 0-40kmph acceleration time of 2.9 seconds, a top speed of 116kmph, and a range of 181km per charge. Further, the S1 Pro comes with four ride modes – Eco, Normal, Sports, and Hyper – and a cruise control system.
The Ola S1, on the other hand, is the mid-level variant of the S1 series. It is available with a 2kwh and a 3kWh battery. The smaller battery pack is claimed to deliver a range of 91km while the larger capacity variant is said to return a range of 141km on a full charge (both figures are ARAI certified). In terms of performance, both variants of the Ola S1 use the same 5.5kWh electric motor. However, the lower variant is claimed to deliver a top speed of 90kmph, while the higher version is said to achieve a maximum speed of 95kmph. Unlike the S1 Pro, this Ola S1 comes with 11 colours and three ride modes – Eco, Normal, and Sport.
Ola S1 and S1 Pro: Features
The standard features on the Ola S1 and S1 Pro include full-LED lighting, Bluetooth-enabled seven-inch colour TFT display, side stand alert, reverse mode, and combined braking system. The S1 Pro further benefits from the Hyper ride mode and a cruise control system. Both these features are not available on the lower variants of the electric scooter.
Ola S1 and S1 Pro: Hardware
Both, the Ola S1 and the S1 Pro use a tubular frame. The suspension setup on these electric scooters includes a single front fork and a rear mono-shock, while the braking hardware comprises a 220mm disc at the front and a 180mm rotor at the back.
Ola S1 and S1 Pro: Prices
Without the discount, the S1 with the 2kWh battery is available at Rs 99,999, while the 3kWh version is priced at Rs 1,09,999. The S1 Pro is available in a single variant and is listed at Rs 1,29,999 (ex-showroom, Bangalore).
