Ola Electric has announced the launch of the new S1 and S1 Pro in the Indian market with prices starting from Rs 99,999 onwards (not including state government incentives, registration, and insurance).
Apart from the launch, the company has also announced that the sales of the S1 and the S1 Pro would commence from 8 September, 2021 while the deliveries are scheduled to start in October this year. Ola Electric will start delivering across 1,000 cities and towns in the country. Until then, interested buyers can reserve a unit of the electric scooter by paying a pre-booking amount of Rs 499. The base variant of the scooter is available in five colour options while the palette for the Pro version includes 10 choices. Apart from the colour palette, the two variants are distinguished through performance and battery range. The base model can achieve a top speed of 90kmph and it boasts a range of 121km per charge. The top variant, on the other hand, features a top speed of 115kmph and a range of 181km per charge.
The Ola S1 series will rival the Ather 450 range, Bajaj Chetak, TVS iQube, and Simple One in the Indian market.
