Ola Electric has announced a new limited-period offer for the top-spec variant of its most affordable electric scooter, the S1 X. The Plus variant of the S1 X is available with a discount of Rs. 20,000 which has brought down its price from to Rs. 1,09,999 to Rs. 89,999 (both prices are ex-showroom). The validity of the offer is from 3 December to 31 December, 2023. Now, the S1 X Plus is amongst the most affordable electric scooters on sale in India.
The Ola S1 X is powered by a 3kWh lithium-ion battery pack that offers a certified riding range of 151km on a single charge. This battery provides energy to a 6kW motor that is claimed to go from zero to 40kmph in 3.3 seconds and attain a top speed of 90kmph. It is based on Ola’s new Gen 2 platform which has eradicated the centre spine on the floorboard, courtesy of the traditional design of the chassis. It rides on 12-inch wheels that are suspended by telescopic forks and dual springs and come to a halt via a drum brake at both ends.
The S1 X follows the same design theme as the other scooters in Ola’s portfolio with sleek and curvy body panels with funky colour options. However, subtle differences like a larger headlamp cowl set the X variant apart. It is available in seven colours - Red Velocity, Midnight, Funmk, Stellar, Vogue, Porcelain White and Liquid Silver. As for the features, the Plus trim gets a data-intensive five-inch TFT display, unlike the 3.5-inch unit in the other two versions. It also offers a sizeable 34-litre underseat storage space.
