- S1 X stock clearance offer launched
- Priced at Rs 49,999
- Rs 20,000 cheaper than the original price
Ola Electric has launched its most affordable model to date, the S1 X. This electric scooter, which costs Rs 49,999 (ex-showroom), is part of a stock clearance sale.
According to a tweet, this offer is valid only on the Ola S1 X 2kWh variant until stock lasts. Currently, the S1 X is priced at Rs 70,000 (ex-showroom Delhi). With this stock clearance offer, the price is reduced by Rs 20,000, which is quite a great deal. This variant has a claimed riding range of 95 km and a top speed of 85kmph. However, it has the least features compared to the other variants.
With such a price tag, it is clear that Ola Electric is struggling with overall sales. The company registered a big drop in overall sales last month, so its market share has also come down drastically. One of the major reasons for this drop is the after-sales service. A lot of customers have complained about the poor service on social media channels. For some of them, their Ola scooters have been parked in various service centres for months without any fixes. While the company has decided to address these concerns, the confidence amongst Indian consumers is at its lowest, and it would be quite difficult for Ola to bring it back.
