Ola Electric has announced that the prices of its entry-level electric scooter, the S1 X, have dropped by as much as Rs. 10,000. It is available in three variants with different battery capacities including 2kWh, 3kWh, and 4kWh. These are now priced at Rs. 69,999, Rs. 84,999, and Rs. 99,999, respectively. Do note that the price of the most affordable trim is introductory for an indefinite time.
The Ola S1 X was launched in India in August last year with a starting price of Rs. 79,999. However, the deliveries of the e-scooter didn’t commence until now. The company has finally announced that the deliveries of the S1 X will start Pan India starting next week. Moreover, all Ola S1 scooters will now come with an eight-year/80,000km complementary warranty at no extra cost.
All the Ola S1 X variants offer varying IDC-certified battery ranges; they stand at 95km, 143km, and 190km for 2kWh, 3kWh, and 4kWh trims, respectively. The top speed for the latter two is rated at 90kmph while the 2kWh version can attain a top speed of 85kmph. It comes with three riding modes – Eco, Normal, and Sports and the top speed varies depending on the selected riding mode. The Ola S1 X is also decently equipped on the feature front with bits like a five-inch digital display, 34-litre underseat storage space, and two cubby holes at the front.
