Ola Electric recently launched its latest electric scooter offering, the S1X. It’s now the most affordable Ola offering that you can purchase. That said, the S1X is available in as many as three variants: S1X (2kWh), S1X (3kWh) and S1X Plus. Let’s take a look at each variant.
All three trims get the same design and hardware but only differ in terms of features. So, the twin projector headlight with the LED DRL, the large headlight cowl, the single-piece seat, the curvy bodywork, twin front forks, dual rear shocks, and steel wheels are the same for all three variants.
S1X (2kWh)
This is the base mode and Ola has equipped it with a 2kWh Lithium-ion battery linked to a 2.7kW motor. It gets a top speed of 85 kmph and a maximum true range of 85 km in the Eco mode. It tips the scale at 101kg and comes with a 350W charger. Then, it misses out on some crucial features like OTA updates, music controls, navigation, call, and SMS alerts and keyless operation. For cost-cutting, Ola has equipped the base model with a 3.5-inch LCD and a physical key. It is priced at Rs. 79,999 (ex-showroom, Bengaluru) till 21 August and will then cost Rs. 10,000 more.
S1X (3kWh)
This variant comes with a 3kWh battery mated to a 2.7kW motor. It gets a 90kmph top speed and 125km true range in the Eco mode. Ola equipped the mid-spec S1X with a 3.5-inch LCD and a physical key. Compared to the base model, this one weighs 7kg more. The asking price for the mid-spec trim is Rs. 89,999 (ex-showroom, Bengaluru) till 21 August and post that it will cost Rs. 99,999.
S1X Plus
The Plus is the tops-spec variant in the S1X line. It is priced at Rs. 99,999 (ex-showroom, Delhi) and will also get a Rs. 10,000 price hike after 21 August. While Ola has equipped the S1X Plus too with a 3kWh battery and 2.7kW, it gets a 90kmph top speed and 125km range. That said, the S1X Plus features OTA updates, music control, remote boot lock/unlock, Bluetooth/GPS connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, cruise control, predictive maintenance and Ola app control.
The above-mentioned features aren’t offered on the first two models.
