- Bookings could commence on 9 February
- Sits below the S1 and the S1 Pro
- Initially priced at Rs 84,999
Ola Electric CEO, Bhavish Aggarwal has teased the S1 Air’s registration commencement date on his Twitter account. The tweet reveals a new product announcement for 9 February at 2 pm.
And since the teaser image says “Change, it’s in the Air” we expect the new announcement to be more than likely about the S1 Air electric scooter. It was launched last year in August with an asking price of Rs 84,999 (ex-showroom Bengaluru). Post that, the payment and registrations were supposed to commence in the first week of February. So, the said date could be when the interested buyers finally book their S1 Air e-scooter.
It sits below the S1 and the S1 Pro and is powered by a 4.5kW (peak power) motor mated to a 2.5kWh battery. Ola claims the Air’s ARAI range to be 101km in ideal conditions. Its top speed is limited to 85kmph and the full charge time is claimed to be 4.5 hours. The S1 Air gets the same seven-inch touchscreen TFT with features like riding modes, side stand alert, OTA updates, smartphone connectivity with music playback and control, GPS, and more.
It’s currently the most affordable scooter in Ola Electric’s lineup. But if you are looking for other options in the same price range, head here.
