There have been rumours flying around of parent company Volkswagen looking to sell the Ducati brand. However, there is an official statement from Audi confirming that the parent company Volkswagen is not looking to sell the Italian motorcycle brand.
Volkswagen acquired the Italian motorcycle brand Ducati back in 2012. An international media house recently reported that VW is looking to sell the brand to help recover after the recent devastation caused by the emissions scandal. However, Chairman of the Board of Management of Audi, Rupert Stadler has officially stated otherwise.
Professor Rupert Stadler, who is also a board member of Volkswagen, told International media: “Ducati is not for sale,” after they asked what was going on with the future of the Ducati brand. Ducati has confirmed that it will be showcasing two new motorcycles at the upcoming World Ducati Week which is being held in the Misano circuit in Italy. Read more about that here.
