Honda has released photos of the Grom 50 Concepts, which will debut at the upcoming Tokyo Motor Show. While they won’t take part in any motocross championship nor they will go very fast, the Grom 50 is Honda’s take on fun motorcycling. The motorcycles have been named Grom Scrambler Concept One and the Grom Scramber Concept Two. The concept names have 50 in it, making us believe that it could be powered by a small 50cc engine and not the regular 125cc. While we wait to see the official details on these fun concepts, we bring you a photo gallery of the new Hondas.
The overall design language of the Concept One is quite interesting. It gets a silver paint scheme, which goes well with the golden fork tubes. Those fat knobby tyres are the main attraction of the bike.
The round headlamp cluster has been neatly designed. Inside, there are four LED lamps with the fifth one doing the duty in the centre of it.
The Concept One instrument cluster is well laid out. The speedometer console is on the left side, which gets an integrated digital tachometer and odometer. Other than wiring, there isn’t anything on the right side of the cluster.
The Concept Two has a tall handlebar, green fuel tank and brown seat. It also gets the golden fork tubes along with those fat knobby tyres. The air intake is more prominent and we really like the romance between the modern look with traditional components.
The instrument cluster of the Concept Two looks better than the One. It’s well designed, easily readable and the design is quite fresh. It displays a speedometer, tachometer, fuel level indicator and an odometer.
