Piaggio Group launches Aprilia and Vespa brands in Sri Lanka

The Piaggio Group has launched the Aprilia and Vespa scooters in Sri Lanka. The company is offering the Aprilia SR150, Aprilia SR150 Race and a range of 125cc and 150cc Vespa scooters with the introduction of these two brands in the country.

The ex-showroom price of the Aprilia SR150 in Sri Lanka is LKR 3,31,954 (Rs 1,39,889) and LKR 3,39,485 (Rs 1,43,062) for the Aprilia SR150 Race. On the other hand, the Vespa range prices start at LKR 3,25,008 (Rs 1,36,962) for the Vespa LX and go up to LKR 4,18,747 (Rs 1,76,464) for the Vespa SXL R 150.

All these scooters are produced in India and then exported to Sri Lanka. Piaggio Group will sell these scooters through their partner - Colonial Motor (Ceylon) Ltd. While the Aprilia SR150 and the Aprilia SR150 Race are sporty yet premium alternatives, the Vespa scooters, with their characteristic elegance, remain the most premium scooters in Sri Lanka. The Aprilia SR 150 Race was launched in India in February 2017 and now we are expecting Aprilia India to launch a 125cc Aprilia SR125 later this year.
