- Vespa SXL to be now available in new matte colours
- First shown at 2018 Auto Expo
- Price unchanged
Piaggio has introduced two new paint schemes for the Vespa SXL. Apart from the existing paint schemes, the scooter will now be available in matte red and matte yellow.
These two new paint schemes were first unveiled at the 2018 Auto Expo in February, although the company stopped short of launching them. Now though, the company has commenced the dealer dispatches of these new colours. The prices have remained unchanged, and the Vespa SXL 125 retails at Rs 88,313, while the SXL 150 will set you back by Rs 94,409 (both ex-showroom). Meanwhile, the company seems to have exhausted the stock of the limited edition Vespa (RED), which is no longer available at dealerships.
At the heart of both the variants is a single-cylinder air-cooled engine mated to a CVT transmission. While the 125cc variant produces 9.9bhp and 10.6Nm of torque, the 150cc variant is slightly more powerful at 11.4bhp and 11.5Nm. While the Vespa scooter range has already been doing well in the domestic market, the new paint schemes should give the sales numbers a shot in the arm.
