We were the first ones to bring you the prices of the Moto Guzzi V9 models – the Roamer and the Bobber. The company has now officially launched these bikes at Rs 13.60 lakh (ex-showroom Pune), along with another bike – the MGX 21.
The Italian company has launched the MGX 21 Flying Fortress at Rs 27.78 lakh (ex-showroom Pune). The MGX 21 is known for its design and the attention to detail. This long distance motorcycle competes with the likes of Harley-Davidsons and Indians, but with its Italian identity, it makes it a part of an exclusive group. The MGX 21 is loaded with modern technologies like ABS, traction control system, cruise control, ride-by wire system. Powering this cruiser is a 1400cc transverse V-Twin engine which produces 96bhp and peak torque of 121Nm. This bike is being sold through all Motoplex showrooms around the country, but on order basis only.
Unveiled at the 2015 EICMA show, the V9 Roamer and the Bobber are built around Moto Guzzi’s new 850cc engine. This mill generates 55bhp at 6250rpm and peak torque of 62Nm at 3000rpm. This torquey motor is mated to a six-speed gearbox that transfers power to the rear wheel via a shaft drive. Just like the rest of the bikes under its portfolio, the company has focused a lot on the aesthetic value of both these versions. And honestly, both the bikes look great.
Being a retro-modern design, the Italian manufacturer has equipped both the bikes with latest technologies like two-level traction control which can also be deactivated and an anti-theft immobilizer. There’s also a USB port to take care of electric charging requirements. These bikes come with optional Multimedia Platform (MG MP) that connect wirelessly to a smartphone and allows the rider to monitor a variety of vehicle information. The MG MP includes a couple of features like eco ride, where the rider can access fuel consumption data.
