Piaggio India has unveiled its latest limited edition offering in the form of the Vespa Justin Bieber edition. It’s priced at an eye-watering Rs. 6.46 (ex-showroom) lakh and will be imported as a Completely Built Unit (CBU). Moreover, Piaggio also says that the special edition Vespa will be limited to just single-digit numbers.
This model comes with a monochrome theme. It’s draped in white paint with flames drawn across the side panels. Apart from that, the new Vespa Justin Bieber edition retains the design and looks similar to the standard model. So, it gets the same hexagonal-shaped LED headlight, apron-mounted turn indicators, and large side panels.
Even the engine configuration remains unchanged and the Vespa X Justin Bieber model continues to use a 155cc single-cylinder motor that makes 12.5bhp and 12.4Nm. It’s linked to a CVT gearbox. The suspension hardware comprises a side-linked front shock and a rear coil spring. The braking hardware includes a 200mm front and a 140mm rear drum mounted on 12-inch wheels wrapped in 110/70 front and a 120/70 rear tyre. The fuel tank capacity of the Vespa X Justin Bieber is the same as the standard model – eight litres.
Apart from the cosmetic differences, this special edition model is the same as the standard scooter. But with the aforementioned asking price, it sits beside the Kawasaki Z650, Benelli TRK 502X, and Kawasaki Z650RS. Not to mention, all these bikes fall in the same price bracket but offer much more value.
