Piaggio has launched the Vespa VX scooter in the Indian market for Rs 65,596 (ex-showroom Mumbai). The scooter gets additional features over the LX variant and costs Rs 3000 more. This scooter gets a 200mm front disc brake – a step taken by the company due to demand from customers. The VX variant gets two new colour options – turquoise green and pink.
The scooter will feature MRF Zapper tyres and also gets a beige coloured seat option. The instrument cluster has been updated to give a fresh look and at the same time the grab rail for the pillion is longer as compared to the LX 125 variant.
The VX will be powered by the same 125cc engine that powers the LX 125 variant. It produces 10.06bhp and 10.6Nm of torque. The mill is mated to a CVT gearbox. As per a North Mumbai dealer, the bookings have been started and the deliveries will follow soon. At this price, the VX has claimed ‘the most expensive scooter in India’ tag from its older sibling.
