- 4 Aprilia bikes launch
- RS 150, Touno 150 are highly likely
- Launch next year
After spending a few years selling premium scooters in India, Piaggio will enter the entry-level motorcycles in the country starting next year.
This development was confirmed by Diego Graffi, CEO, Piaggio India. He went on to say that the first entry-level motorcycle will be launched in 2020, followed by three more bikes in the follow years. However, the top honcho didn’t reveal much details.
The Italian maker had showcased the Aprilia RS 150 and the Tuono 150. These bikes weren’t production ready, but was displayed to gauge everyone’s attention. Due to the positive response, the company decided to make these bikes. But the exact timelines weren’t revealed.
We believe, out of the four bikes the company plans to launch in India, RS 150 and the Touno would definitely come. The rest two motorcycles could come in any forms such as a touring or an adventure model.
