- Aprilia and Vespa dealerships to increase next year

Piaggio seems to be bullish about its India expansion plans and recently revealed that the brand is planning to add 100 new Vespa and Aprilia dealerships in India by the end of 2021, taking the total number to around 350.
Furthermore, the Italian manufacturer is looking to add another 100 new outlets by 2022 across the country. With this increase in dealerships and reach, Piaggio is aiming for an annual sale of 1.5 lakh to 2 lakh units from Vespa as well as Aprilia in the next two years or so.
And to boost its sales, Piaggio is set to launch the SXR160 maxi-scooter in India soon. As we have reported, the scooter will come with a price tag of Rs 1.27 lakh (ex-showroom). Apart from this, Aprilia has also caused a stir by announcing the upcoming launch of the RS660 and Tuono 660. It has also revealed during the same press conference that the brand is working on a Tuono 400 and RS400 that are likely to debut by 2023.
