- Vespa Racing Sixties launch on September 1
- Likely to get only aesthetic change
- Will be priced quite high
Piaggio India will launch the Vespa Racing Sixties edition scooter on September. This scooter will be based on the Vespa SXL-150.
The company had first showcased this scooter at the 2020 Auto Expo. The launch was earlier planned in March, but due to COVID-19 pandemic, the launch was delayed. The Racing Sixties is a brand by company that has inspired from racing in 1960s. In fact, the company had a few products with 1960 racing liveries. So expect, the SXL 150 to get some cool liveries.
We believe the Racing Sixties will only have aesthetic additions. In terms of performance, the scooter will continue to get the same 150cc single-cylinder 10.4bhp motor. The torque figure stands at 10.6Nm at 5500rpm.
The Vespa SXL 150 is an expensive scooter. So expect this limited edition model to become the most expensive model in Vespa’s line-up.
