Piaggio is gearing up to have a very good presence at the 2016 Auto Expo. With four brands under its portfolio, the company is surely going to pull off a great show at the upcoming biennial event.
The company has sent us an invite for the unveiling of their new offering. However, the Italian company has not mentioned any brand name save for Piaggio, which is the parent company. A quick call to its PR company revealed that, there will be a range of new models, however, the major focus will be on this one particular model, which they refused to reveal.
The Italian company claims that this new model is an industry first and will be an exciting one. We believe this new product could either be from Aprilia or Vespa. But we won’t be surprised if the company decides to bring in the scooters from Piaggio. And if this is the case, we would love to see the MP3- the three-wheeled scooter. And interestingly, this makes sense, considering the fact that Mahindra is planning to introduce the Peugeot scooters in India. And the Metropolis could pose a serious threat to the MP3 scooter. But then again the market for such scooters hasn't been explored fully as yet. Maybe, we’ll see some action in this segment at the 2016 Auto Expo.
