Piaggio India will today launch two new updated Vespa scooters. The Vespa SXL and Vespa VXL are the new variants that come with cosmetic updates and additional features.
The scooters will still be powered by the same 125cc single-cylinder engine that produces 10bhp of power and 10.6Nm of torque. This motor comes mated to a CVT gearbox. However, the updates come in the form of two new paint schemes - blue and silver. Both the scooters are based on the existing VX and S models, so the existing paint options will continue to be offered.
In these new variants, the front apron of the scooter is either embedded in chrome or black accents that complement the new five-spoke alloy wheels. In addition to the new pattern for alloy wheels, this version gets wider Maxxis tyres (110/70-11) as a standard fitment. The manufacturer has also changed the instrument cluster to an analog cum digital display unit.
